As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on donations to take care of the Shar-Pei entrusted to us. As we are a 501(c)(3) approved organization, all donations are tax-deductible. If you would like to make a donation, please call or e-mail us for more information!
While you are shopping at PETsMART, please consider picking up an extra bag of pet food, cat litter or other supplies such as toys or collars to leave as a donation to the Portsmouth Humane Society.

Citizen may make donations to the CAD Donation Account. These funds are used to purchase vaccines and medicines for shelter animals. In some cases, CAB is able to even authorize surgeries for special animals with injuries or other problems. Afterwards, these animals are placed through adoption. Soon CAB hopes to kick off a building fund drive for a new shelter!!
As a non-profit, unsheltered organization monetary donations are used to promote and fund our spay or neuter and humane education programs. Any donations of pet food, toys, etc. made to us are passed along to our local city shelter, Chesapeake Animal Control Bureau.
Membership:
We offer several levels of membership ranging from $15 to $150. Members receive quarterly newsletters.
Animal Rescue of Tidewater is currently funding most rescues "out of pocket" for the rescuer. As this is greatly expensive, donations would be welcome. Please mail them to our above address. All donations are tax-deductible.
